Reshooting

Sadly after day 2 of filming we didn't like some of our footage. We decided to re-film our footage and to film it all in one set period time (sunset/night time). Sadly our chosen actor let us down so we were obliged to change our actor. A new actor Montell was perfect for the part and he fitted the character of Rejjie Snow better than our previous actor. But thankful due the changes that we have made we have finished filming and we have almost finished editing.

D'angelo

Time management:
D'angelo's time management was very poor. He was on time for on shooting and was late or didn't turn up for any of the others. He made us wait up to 4 hours for him or he still didn't turn up at all. From then on we realised that he wasn't reliable to we dropped him and searched for a new actor.

Lyrics:
D'angelo was not familiarised with the song, we gave him more than enough time to learn the lyrics and listen to Rejjie Snow songs to help him understand what Rejjie is about, but he didn't do much research and a result to that was him not being able to perform as well. When filming and constantly having to look at the lyrics whilst filming which made the whole process longer.

Unnecessary contributions: When we were filming he kept on making comments and giving suggests that didn't have anything to do with the video. He wanted to do things his way for example holding a liquor bottle whilst rapping, this was totally going against our idea and was fitting the conventions of a type 'gangsta' rap video, the purpose of the bottle in the video was meant to show something but he didn't understand. His ideas also interfered with our filming which again longed out the process of filming.

Montell

Time management:
Now Montell on the other hand was good with his timing, he was there on time and we got what we needed in terms of filming.

Lyrics:
Montell learnt the lyrics and the lip synch was very accurate in comparison to D'angelo. Montell understood the concept of the video and lyrics so he emphasised the words and his body language was calm. As Montell listened to Rejjie Snow it made it easier to work with him which was a huge benefit to the group.

Style:
Montell style was cool, again he was very calm and mellow and that's how Rejjie himself is. He dressed down and which was very nice and simple which was exactly what we wanted.

Compatible: Montell was very easy to work with. He listened to everything we said and done things according to plan. He didn't waste time and he got along well with all the group members which made filming more relaxed. The fact that he learnt the lyrics made the filming a lot quicker allowing us to be able to take other scene shots for our video as the main parts were out of the way.
